Over there years there has been a constant debate on the best place to see in the Caribbean.  Everyone is going to have their own opinions, especially when it’s based on previous vacations.  We’ll leave the final decision up to you, but here are some areas that are considered to be some of the most beautiful.

* Aruba – Considered by many as one of the most beautiful vacation spots in the world, Aruba is known for its white sandy beaches on the western and southern coasts.  The civilians are friendly and reside as a Dutch nationalization.

* Sint Maarten – This Dutch and English combination is considered the “antique” approach to the Caribbean.  Old shops and homes can be found throughout the city to bring forth a nostalgic appeal.  From above, St. Maarten looks like a tiny city surrounding by ocean and mammoth mountains.

* Martinique – If you want to see France and can’t make it to Paris, consider Martinique as an alternative.  This Martiniquan Creole (mixture of French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese) speaking island brings Europe to the Caribbean in more ways than one.  Claimed by France in 1635, Martinique provides beautiful tropical forests, mountains, and volcanoes.  The Mount Pelée volcano is one of the many reasons why people travel to the area.

Martinique also offers a higher standard of living as opposed to other islands in the Caribbean.

* Cayman Islands – The first time people became inhabitants of the Cayman Islands was around the 1600s.  There are 3 islands in all:

* Grand Cayman
* Little Cayman
* Cayman Brac

Most people travel to the Caymans during winter months so they can enjoy cooler weather.  During the warmer parts of the year there tends to be more rain due to the tropical marine climate.

A major enjoyment in the Caymans is experiencing all the businesses available.  In fact, it’s been stated that there are more registered businesses than people.  If you love to shop, this hot spot could be considered the best choice.

However, there are several main attractions behind the debate of best island in the Caribbean.  Sting Ray City is a hotspot with hundreds of stingrays migrating around the sandbar off Grand Cayman.  The area also has a theme park (Boatswain’s Beach), a turtle farm, the Ironshore Landscape of Hell, as well as a host of guided tours.  Oh, and we can’t forget about Seven Mile Beach.

* Dominican Republic – While there are parts to the Dominican that are considered “rundown,” other parts are absolutely gorgeous.  It is still considered to be one of the liveliest areas in the Caribbean.  Their culture is full of great cuisines, majestic music, and home to several Dominican-born professional sports players.

One of the most developed areas in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic is home to Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros, which happen to be the two largest cities in the country.  Those who enjoy scenic vacations will have plenty to see in the Dominican.  Biking and bird-watching are two of the most popular attractions throughout the location.

These have all been considered the best location in the Caribbean at one point or another.  You will just have to visit each one in order to figure out yourself.<
