There are many things tourists can do while visiting Alberta. If you like diving, you can visit the alpine diving spots. You can travel on the Dinosaur Trail to explore the ancient dinosaur fossils. The Dinosaur Trail is about 48 km in length. It is located nearby to the town of Drumheller. If you travel another short distance, you will be able to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology. Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology offers a large exhibition of the dinosaur remains.
While in Alberta, you can attend the Banff Summer Arts Festival. At the Banff Summer Arts Festival, you will be able to watch all kinds of arts exhibitions including dance, film and art. The Banff Summer Arts Festival will last for 4 months. Besides, you can visit the Calgary Stampede show. Calgary Stampede is a rodeo show held in July. The rodeo show lasts for 10 days. Many competitors will take part to offer different kinds of performances such as parades, stage shows and etc.
If you want to get a panoramic view of the city, you should visit the Calgary Tower. Calgary Tower has a height of 191 m. There is a rotating restaurant called Sky 360 located on top of the Calgary Tower. You can visit Cowboy country to learn about the country ranching heritage. Many shops at Cochrane have cowboy themes. You can go to St. Albert town to visit the log cabin house of Father Lacombe. The town of St. Albert is located nearby to Edmonton. It used to be a thriving settlement for the Metis people.
Tourists can visit the Jasper National Park. Jasper National Park was originally established in the year of 1907. The largest Rocky Mountains parks of Canada can be found at Jasper national park It covers an area of more than 10,878 square kilometers. There are many forests and meadows at Jasper National park. You will find a large field of alpine flowers. The park is a reserve for various kinds of animals such as mule deer, moose and bear. The Maligne Lake can be found at the Jasper National Park. You can go fishing and boating at the Jasper National Park.
